Projects are changing our society and changing people’s life. This is accelerated by the COVID 19 pandemic and the digital transformation of business, the public sector, and society. Project leadership has never been taken as so important to support in value creation moving our society together with individual persons forward in the VUCA era. Research on project leadership and society studies the interaction between projects, project management, governance on the one hand, and economic, social, political, organizational processes, and new technologies on the other.
The 9th IPMA Research Conference is dedicated to the theme “Project Leadership and Society” The conference will facilitate the participants to learn from each other about their insights, research achievements, practical experience, opinions, and thoughts.
The conference will focus on how practitioners can benefit from researchers by learning about the latest research achievements in other countries, disciplines, or focus areas. Researchers may identify the real needs of practitioners in the area of project-related work and focus their research to meet the needs of those practitioners. Altogether we will shape the future way in project-related society.
We are looking for your contributions discussing leadership in a project society that includes all types of
projects, programs, project portfolios, project-oriented organizations, project networks, project industries that are impacting our society. Contributions should have implications for policy or practice.
There will be a special session for several editors-in-chief of influential academic journals to discuss hot
topics with participants and a panel for the IPMA research awards winners to share their achievements in the conference program.
All submissions (in full paper) will be peer-reviewed.
The accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings which will be sent for review to Springer.
