PMAC's 2018 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 starting at 10am Eastern time. The meeting will be performed online, with online voting. It is open to all officers and directors of the association plus all current members. An agenda for the meeting will be posted in our Members Only section of the website when available. At the present time, there is one proposed bylaw change. We will post the details of the proposed bylaw change in the Members Only section as well, once we have the final text. In the mean time, please plan to attend.

International Project Management Association (IPMA) Young Researcher Award for 2017 was awarded to Maude Brunet for her doctoral research “The Governance of Major Public Infrastructure Projects”. The research strategy was a multiple-case study within the Quebec government. Four major infrastructure projects in the front-end phase have been studied, which had to comply with the Quebec governance framework for public infrastructure projects.

International Project Management Association (IPMA) Research Award for 2017 was awarded to Prof. Lavagnon Ika for his works on ignorance, Hirschman’s principle of the Hiding Hand, project success and success conditions. Lavagnon Ika is Associate Professor of Project Management (PM). He holds an M.Sc. in PM from UQO and a PhD in Business Administration with specialization in Project Management from the Université du Québec à Montréal, a Montreal-based joint doctoral program with McGill, Concordia, and HEC Universities.
