I am currently working as a project manager in the oil & gas industry. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1973 from the University of Manitoba. I have over 30 years of experience in industrial plant project management in the management of complex projects. I have worked in industry, with and for consultants, and had my own consulting business. My industrial experience includes operations and maintenance, research and development, project management of small to medium size plant projects ($120 million), construction management of large industrial projects, mechanical installation of heavy industrial equipment, commissioning and startup of industrial plants, and plant management. I have been a project manager on projects in operating pulp and paper mills, oil refineries, on North Slope oil projects, board plants, and the recycling industry in various locations across Canada and the USA.. I am the author of the published book “Plant Project Engineering Guidebook” and several e-books available on my website. I teach project management of complex projects in Canada for private training companies, and I am an international speaker on project management. I have been teaching at the IPMA Level D for over five years. My experience has shown there is a need for project management training in the management of complex projects and this is not well represented in the project management training arena. I look forward to PMAC-AMPC certification process to assist new project managers in their careers. Visit my web page for more information, www.bmoj.com.
