Introduction to Construction Tender Documents: Tips For Construction Project Managers

A webinar aimed at project managers in the construction industry. June 10, 2010 - Noon to 1pm Eastern Time. $10 members. $20 non-members.

The construction tender document can make or break your project. If the total scope is not identified or the scope is ambiguously written, you will have nothing but problems on your job site and costs will be difficult to control. This webinar walks you through a lump sum tender document, explains each line item, what each line item means to your project, and helps you develop the total scope for your project. Each line item is there to protect you, so, learn the reasoning behind them.

Some of the things you will learn are:

  • - How to evaluate unit prices
  • - How to analyze progress payments to your advantage
  • - A method of controlling claims
  • - Why you need to know the work week and other construction information
  • - What the total scope really includes.
  • - An easy way to determine what services the contractor needs
  • - Plus other ways to protect yourself and make the construction proceed smoothly.

100% of proceeds of this event go to the Project Management Association of Canada.
