About Us

We are the Project Management Association of Canada / Association de gestion de projet du Canada (PMAC-AGPC), Canada's national project management association.  We were formed by the Canadian Minister of Industry as a non-profit corporation in January 2007 to "advance the theory and practice of project management in Canada."
 

OUR OBJECTIVES:

  1. To advance the professionalism of project managers in Canada
  2. To promote high standards of ethics, conduct, education, and achievement by all PM practitioners
  3. To promote the growth, development, and implementation of PM knowledge and standards
  4. To raise awareness of the application of project management as a powerful tool for the management of non-routine activities

To further these ends, PMAC-AGPC has been appointed as Canada's official representative to the International Project Management Association (IPMA), an international body bringing together national PM associations from around the world to set international standards of practice; to assess and certify people and organizations against these standards; and to recognize the best well-managed projects and top project managers in the world.  We are also called IPMA-Canada.
