Romeo Mitchell, B.Sc., M.Sc., MSE, PQS, PMP
Romeo has mastered the best practices of project and program management, and demonstrates a passion for the profession as a critical business success factor. He has over 20 plus years of experience managing cross functional projects and programs across multiple industries. Skilled at managing the clients’ expectations, Romeo successfully delivers complex recovery and turnaround programs. His experience spans several
industries including IT, Telecom, Manufacturing, Nuclear, Banking, Travel, Construction, and the Retail Sector.
Romeo in his role as a program manager has managed complex projects and programs for many clients including Bell Canada, CIBC, Hydro One, Nortel Networks, BMO, AECL to name a few. Over the years he has develop a passion for business to project alignment, cost and value analysis, risk management, PMO establishment and recovering troubled projects and programs. Specifically Romeo expedites results through objective setting, meticulous planning and focused expedient execution.
Romeo has served as the President of PMI Southern Ontario Chapter, Vice President of the Ontario Institute of Quantity Surveyors, published several papers and co‐authored “Managing Project Recovery, From Ratholes to Rainbows”. He continues to present at national and internal seminars and symposiums, and most recently NASA 2009, 2010 and 2012 Project & Program Management Leadership Challenge.
Romeo has a Master of Science Degree in Business Project Management from Brunel University/ Henley Management College, England, a Graduate certificate in Operations Management/ Research Techniques, Industrial Society of Great Britain and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Quantity Surveying (Cost engineering) from the University of Westminster, England. He is a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) and a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 1994.
When Romeo is not delivering training or consulting services, he might be found in high energy martial arts Black Belt training or practicing his violin.
